Year 13: making the application

A competitive economics application is decided in three places: the personal statement, the admissions test and the interview. We prepare students for all three, for any university, with particular depth for Oxford, Cambridge, LSE and UCL.

  • Designed by a first-class Cambridge economist
  • Oxbridge interviews in December
  • UCAS deadline 13 January

Three stages, one service for each

Most applicants need help with at least two. Start with the one whose deadline is nearest.

Questions

Which should we start with?

The one with the nearest deadline. For Oxford and Cambridge applicants that is now the interview, in December. For LSE, UCL and Imperial it is the TMUA (booking closes 21 December, sitting 4–8 January). Applicants to most other courses should focus on the personal statement before the UCAS deadline on 13 January.

We’re not applying to Oxford or Cambridge. Is this still for us?

Yes. Personal statement reviews cover economics, business, finance and related courses at any university, and the TMUA Pack is for LSE, UCL, Imperial and Warwick applicants. The interview packs are built for Oxford and Cambridge, though the method suits any interview where economics comes up.

Can we buy more than one service?

Yes. The Applicant Pass combines the interview and both test packs at a lower price. Statement reviews are booked separately.

We live outside the UK. Does that matter?

No. Everything is online. Test and interview packs can be paid in pounds, US dollars, Singapore dollars or Hong Kong dollars; personal statement reviews are priced in pounds.

Can you guarantee an offer?

No one honestly can. We help applicants prepare as well as they can; the decision is the university’s.
