Last updated: 9 July 2026. These terms apply to all data visualisation orders placed with EconCoaching (econcoaching.com) (“I”, “me”, “my”) via this website.
1. Scope of work
Each package describes exactly what is included — the number of charts or visualisations, file formats, number of revision rounds, and delivery time. Anything outside the package you purchase — additional charts, extra formats, an interactive version, data cleaning, or new requirements introduced after the brief is agreed — is treated as a paid add-on or a separate order and is priced accordingly.
2. Briefs and your data
To start work I need a complete brief and usable data. You confirm that you own, or have the right to use and share, any data, text, logos and other assets you provide. Files you supply are used only to complete your order and are not shared with third parties. A non-disclosure agreement (NDA) is available on request for sensitive datasets.
3. Turnaround
Stated delivery times begin once full payment has been received and a complete brief plus usable data have been provided — not from the moment of purchase. If data or feedback is delayed, the delivery timeline is extended accordingly. Rush delivery, where offered, is subject to current availability.
4. Revisions
A “revision” means adjustments to the agreed deliverable — for example colours, labels, layout or styling — within the scope of the original brief. Each package includes a set number of revision rounds. Changes to the underlying data, a different chart or visualisation type, or a new creative direction are not revisions and will be quoted separately. Please submit revision requests within 7 days of a preview being shared; after that the order is considered accepted and complete.
5. Payment
Standard packages are paid in full at checkout. Custom-quote projects above a set value may require a deposit (for example 50%) before work begins, with the balance due before final files are released. All prices are in pounds sterling (GBP). EconCoaching is not currently registered for UK VAT, so no VAT is charged on orders; if this changes, prices and these terms will be updated.
6. Refunds and cancellations
Because each visualisation is a custom digital product made to your brief, orders are non-refundable once work has begun. If you are not satisfied, the revision rounds included in your package are there to put things right. If work has not yet started, you may cancel for a full refund. Chargebacks raised without first requesting the included revisions will be disputed using the order record and delivery evidence.
7. Delivery
I share a watermarked preview for your review. Final, unwatermarked files — and editable source files where your package or an add-on includes them — are released after full payment via a secure download or private link.
8. Intellectual property
You are responsible for the accuracy of, and your rights to, the underlying data. Rights to use the finished visualisation transfer to you on full payment, in line with the licence tier you purchase (see the Licence & Usage Rights page). I retain the right to display completed work in my portfolio and marketing unless you ask me not to, in writing, before delivery.
9. Liability
I take care to produce accurate, high-quality work, but I am not liable for decisions made on the basis of the visualisations or the data they represent. My total liability for any order is limited to the amount you paid for that order.
